Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The Equine nation tends to regard Reiki along the same pleasure lines as food, hay and grooming…. A must!
So it is quite unusual to find a rejection from a horse/pony.
A refusal is usually to do with trust and harmony.
If this has been lacking in the history of the animal then they wont trust us to do anything for them other than abuse and insult.
Reiki will then be given to the situation surrounding and causing the anguish rather than directly to the animal itself.
From this the situation can be calmed and toned down to a placid state whereby a therapist can be introduced and balance can be restored to the horse karma and spirit.
This is a common case with ponies that have been brought out from the forests in the drives in the UK (i.e. New forest and Dartmoor).

Weaning Foals who need calming and stability in their lives after being removed from the only protection they have ever known. Always benefit from Reiki whether it is “situation Reiki,” or, “hands on Reiki”.

Territorial arguments and situations with herd hierarchy can be diffused with reiki therapy and has proven quite successful within the herds in UK and France.

Crystal Healing and Dowsing

Crystal therapy is an energy healing therapy that works with an animal's subtle energy fields to help address physical, emotional, mental and spiritual problems.

Crystal therapy does not involve any pressure, manipulation or massage.

Crystal therapy has been used in many different cultures since ancient times.

Crystals emit natural stable energy vibrations which affect an animal's energy fields, and using specifically selected crystals helps to remove energy blockages within the chakras, meridians and subtle bodies to balance, heal and harmonize the body, mind and spirit.

The Benefits of Crystal Therapy

  • Stimulates and supports the body's natural ability to heal itself
  • De-stresses, calms and detoxifies
  • Provides relaxation and well-being
  • Revitalizes, energizes and refreshes

What animals can have Crystal Therapy?

Crystal therapy is suitable for pets, working animals, livestock and even wild animals.

Owners with animals with diabetes may need to check their insulin levels as crystal therapy may alter their requirement. You may wish to discuss this with your vet.

For More Information

When your animal relaxes into the therapy they should feel peaceful and will often give signs of it working by sighing, yawning, twitching and falling asleep.

At no time will the therapy be forced upon the animal.

Please remember that Crystal therapy is not a substitute for traditional veterinary treatment , it is complementary to it, and as such you must obtain veterinary treatment when and where necessary .

The veterinary Surgery Act of 1966 prohibits anyone other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from treating animals, including diagnosis of ailments and giving of advice on such diagnosis. However the healing of animals by contact healing, by the laying on of hands or distant healing is legal. However the Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. To give emergency First Aid to animals for the purpose of saving life or relieving pain is permissible under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Schedule 3.
